This easy porridge recipe with apple, banana and cinnamon will warm you up from the inside out.

Ingredients
2cupsRolled oats
½cupsultanas
500mlBoiling water
1tspVanilla bean extract
2tspground cinnamon
¼tspground cardamon
1applepeeled, cored and grated
1pearpeeled, cored and grated
2bananas peeled and roughly chopped
½cupblueberriesfresh or frozen
2cupsmilkplus extra if needed
¼cupflaked almonds lightly toasted
honeyto serve
Instructions
In a medium size saucepan add the oats, sultanas and boiling water. let sit for 5 minutes or until the water has been absorbed.
Add vanilla, spices, fruit and milk and cook on medium heat. Once simmering reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes. Stir frequently to stop the porridge from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
The porridge is ready when the oats have a creamy consistency and the banana has melted into the porridge.serve in bowls and top with a drizzle of honey and the toasted almonds.
