Ingredients
2orangeszested and juiced
50gramsunsalted buttermelted
1cupcaster sugar
2eggslightly beaten
1cupself raising flour
⅓cupfull cream milk
3tbsppoppyseed's
icing sugarfor dusting
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 180° or 160° for fan forced
Grease and line a 20cm cake tin with baking paper
In a large bowl add the zest, butter, juice, sugar, eggs, flour and milk and whisk until combined.
Add the poppyseeds and continue to whisk for a few more seconds.
Pour batter into prepared tin and bake for 35 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. leave to rest for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool.
Dust with icing sugar.
